Allan Borgen

Allan is a well-respected restaurant critic for the past 23 years. He hosted, produced, and wrote the “Lets Dine Out” television show that aired for 18 years on PBS.He is also a member of the Southern California Restaurant Writers as well as the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association. He also has 10 years of restaurant experience, co-owned a very successful catering company, has taken numerous restaurant management and chef’s’ training classes.Allan is the restaurant critic for the San Bernardino County Sun and the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Newspapers. In addition to his sense of humor and spontaneity, Allan has a passion for helping people as well as for the culinary profession and is an avid cook.

Jeff has lived in Southern California for some 20 years, so he’s practically a native, even though he’s originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. For six years he co-hosted a show on the local PBS-TV affiliate called “Evening Edition”. It was while working on that show that he met Allan Borgen.

He enjoys TV game shows-for 3 years he worked on the staff of the TV game show Jeopardy. He also enjoys working out, old movies and old TV shows and has a passion for useless trivia. He also has a passion for food and dining out-a perfect match for the “Let’s Dine Out Show”.

On the show, Jeff presents the Food News and his weekly Rant of the Week. He and his wife Christina and their daughter Annelise are proud to make the Inland Empire their home.

Chef Gerald Egger has been in the world of food for over 20 years. Starting at Loma Linda University Medical Center as a Short Order cook his zeal for the Culinary Arts was ignited.

After graduating from Scottsdale Culinary Institute nearly two decades ago, his career in the foodservice industry has been varied…. from Executive Chef of country clubs; Barista; Produce Specialist for Shamrock Foods/Markon; to Culinary Educator.

Chef Egger’s career has evolved into CHEF Enterprises. He has developed a wellness program focused on food. The principles of the program will allow families to eat healthier, use their food budget more efficiently and allow more quality time.
